With all these "EB Games/Gamestop has confirmed a ___ price drop" threads I figure I'd give you guy real confirmation on things and hope to stop the flood of false rumors about the price drop.

Yes there will be a price drop this year. There isn't a single thing going against that due to the fact the PS and PS2 both had price drops in about a year after their launch. Sony is doing everything they can to get the manufacturing costs of the PS2, PSP, and PS3 down as much as they can. They SHOULD by the end of the year be able to cut anywhere from $50 - $100 of the PS3. Sony will not do a price cut thats lower then $50 and there is an extremely slim chance of anything higher then $100.


Price drops confirmed:
PS2 - $99

Plausible Price Drops Due to Past History:
PS3 - $449 - $499

To Be Announced at E3:
PSP Slim Revision: $99 - $129
