With GDC now behind us, publishers are starting to tease their big reveals for E3 2010. THQ apparently has a new fighting game lined up, which is being worked on by a “major developer.”
Speaking with Computer and Video Games, THQ vice president of core games Danny Bilson said, “When we announce it you’ll go, ‘Oh they’re going with THQ, cool.”
He continued, “The fighting group is actually taking on the management of another game that we’re going to announce at E3 that has a certain amount of melee combat in it but it’s … we’ll announce it at E3.”

Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami recently started up a new studio called Tango, and is now busy recruiting for a new project. In lieu of any development news, he’s got a little flash-based game for anyone who decides to drop by.
Titled Harakiri, the game lets you try and help a samurai warrior commit ritual suicide. It involves clicking as quickly as possible, after which the warrior’s head goes flying off in a spectacular shower of blood.
The flash game appears to stem from a long-running joke based on some comments Mikami made about Resident Evil 4’s exclusivity, in which he promised to “cut his own head off” if the game ever made it to another platform. Resident Evil 4 later made it to the PlayStation 2, and Mikami poked fun at his comments by featuring a racing dog in God Hand named “Mikami’s Head.”
